Book One: origin of the breed and the breed in various countries (China, Holland, England, France, etc.), black and other colored Pugs, the 20th Century Pug, the Pug in America, the breed Standard (from the national breed club - standard is also out-of-date). Book Two: Origins of the breed and development of physical characteristics, some early show dogs, contemporary dogs, formation of the breed club, illustrated discussion of the Standard, breeding (mating and whelping), feeding (puppy to adult), general management (kennelling, exercise, housetraining, grooming, health problems, showing the Pug.
