A Must Have for a pet owners library, November 28, 2004
Reviewer: Jill Rizk
I have a bookshelf full of popular titles on natural animal health, but this particular book covers all the current issues in an easy to read, easy to understand and easy to implement format. Dr. Martin Goldstein takes the idea of critical thinking to new levels as he recounts his story of wading through his conventional veterinary training to find the real cause of disease. His discussions on food, vaccines and emotional health are easy for anyone to follow and understand. One word of caution, once a person reads this book their views on animal care will change forever....for the positive.

I really enjoyed this book. The chapter on vaccines was wonderful and talked about the history of vaccines and how countries in which vaccines were not popular or made mandantory still had declines of the disease like other countries did. I liked the nutrition chapter pretty well although I would have liked to see more of a warning about cooked bones. To say the least it's without a doubt a worthwhile book to read.
