| A fun read, May 28, 2008 |
| Reviewer: Stevie Mathre |
A child's entry being chosen nationally? OK. And since I feed raw, the whole kibble thing was a bit disgusting...
I would have liked even more character development, and gotten to know better the other contestants around whom the mystery revolves. Mel's relationships with them and with Faith are somewhat superficial, and her focus on the eventual killer made it inevitable. I wanted to get to know the obedience couple... I did have a hard time understanding why some of the contest competitors were there, and the outcome was somewhat glossed over, despite the competition as the setting for the mystery.
A fun read, though, and one of the best of the series. |
