| This book covers the the things you need to know in breeding and whelping a litter. It is very through. It contains basic primer in genetics and the responsibility you have as a breeder. There is a lot of valuable information on the care of a pregnant bitch and the breeding process. The whelping process is covered in great detail and gives a lot of information and advice for when things don't go ideally in the delivery and early care of pups and the dam. It doesn't stop at delivery, it has detailed information on the raising, weaning, evaluating, and the importance of proper placement of the puppies. If you are only going to get one book one breeding and what it to cover everything I highly recommend this book. |
