“I’ve read every tracking book there is, and this one fills a huge gap in the tracking literature. I really, really like it, and LOVE the emphasis on the relationship between dog and handler!” — Dani Weinberg, author of Teaching People Teaching Dogs

| VERY good read!, October 5, 2008 |
| Reviewer: Patricia Riley |
I enjoyed every word of this book! I can give no higher praise than that I will recommend this book to ANYONE who plans on tracking their dog, and it will be required reading for all tracking dog handlers (and recommeded to our air scent handlers)on our SAR team. I will also recommend it for anyone involved in any 'team' dog activity.... while it is about tracking, many many of the concepts apply to any activity in which we expect our dogs to participate as willing 'volunteers.'
While I don't necessarily agree with every word, Ms Mueller acknowledges that every dog and handler are unique; because of it's open minded attitude and broad aspect, this book is compatible with nearly any 'style' of tracking dog training. Definitely worth your money and your time. |
