Just Add Sheep, August 1, 2007
Reviewer: Kara Lounsbury
I read this book before beginning herding training with an instructor. It gave me a solid foundation of the courses and requirements as well as what was happening between the dog and the sheep. The information is clearly presented and easy to use as a reference, long term. This book would be helpful to any level of handler with any herding breed.

The Best!, April 10, 2007
Reviewer: Constance Sutter
I was so impressed with this book. It explains everything and has diagrams for anything that might be confusing. I love that it does not only cover Border Collies, but gives great information on other breeds in herding. As the owner of a Smooth Collie I appreciated the information specifically about Collies in herding.

All in One Book, July 15, 2006
Reviewer: Melinda Stevenson
If I only had one book to teach me about herding it would be this one. Very easy to understand but also technical and precise. It will take you from a raw beginner to an advanced level. I keep this book close by and refer to it often.
Any and all levels of herding dog trainers will enjoy this book and learn form the information. |
