Expanded Description:
Are vaccinations killing our pets?
When this book, originally titled Who Killed the Darling Buds of May? was first published in 1997, it started a grass-roots movement of dog lovers that has resulted in the overhaul of vaccination protocols throughout the U.S. and England. Catherine O’Driscoll, prompted by the early death two beloved dogs, went to work to find what happened to her companions. Driven as only a bereaved pet owner can be, she located and analyzed volumes of veterinary research that pointed to over-vaccination as a cause of a multitude of canine ills—including early death. Since that time she has worked tirelessly to bring the subject of over-vaccination of companion animals to the public’s awareness. Now back in print, the 2nd edition titled What Vets Don’t Tell You About Vaccines, lets you read about the author’s startling findings and the conclusions she drew from her research which have helped transform the way we vaccinate our companion animals.
Find out
• Why vaccines cause so many diverse illnesses including autoimmune disorders and cancer.
• Alternatives to vaccines.
• How to time vaccinations so they don’t overburden the immune system.
• About the role stress, genetics, diet, and the environment in adverse reactions to vaccines.
British author Catherine O’Driscoll founded Canine Health Concern, CHC, in 1994 after three of her young dogs died because of adverse reactions to vaccines. CHC campaigns for the end of over-vaccination and promotes real food and complementary health care options for animals. Catherine is also the author of Shock to the System. The Facts About Animal Vaccination, Pet Food and How To Keep Your Pet Healthy and a DVD titles In Search of the Truth about Dogs. An Introduction to Natural Canine Health. Today she lives in Scotland with her partner Rob Ellis and three Golden Retrievers and lectures on canine health around the world.

A great book!, February 22, 2012
Reviewer: Jody Freeland
I found that this book gives much food for thought. It is filled with information about the vaccine industry. It made me look deeper and do research on this subject and I found that there is much fact in what she writes.

Not a resource, June 1, 2008
Reviewer: Theresa Garton
The other is very obviously slanted and biased. She jumps to conclusions that are not backed by scientific fact, but rather anecdotes obviously selected to illustrate her desired point. She discusses tragic cases in a way to inflame emotions. But, if you are looking for facts, this is a book to skip.
