A Newbie Must Have, August 1, 2007
Reviewer: Kara Lounsbury
This is a wonderful beginners book. I have been recommending it to novice show homes with success for years. It's the best down to earth description of the basics out there. The reader will get a clear idea of what happens in the ring, what is expected of them and their dog and a general idea of why. The book also covers necessary topics such as clothing, etiquette and common problems. If you're in your first years of showing or are just thinking about showing this is an excellent book.

This is THE Book for the Novice Exhibitor, July 22, 2006
Reviewer: working_dogz
This book effectively explains the mysterious and often odd things that happen in the show ring, and the basics of handling your own dog in a language that is easy to understand when you don't speak the language of the dog world. If you want to show your own dog but have no earthly idea how to do it, this is the book you want to buy!
