Must have book., January 9, 2006
Reviewer: Brenda Staley
This is a great book for beginners, but also for experienced handlers. It reminds you of things you might not have had to deal with for awhile. All dogs are different. Steve makes the book entertaining and helpful all at once. He gives step by step plans for any new dog or handler that should really make them shine. I have reccomended this to conformation people as well as other performance events dog people. It has something to offer everyone. Thanks for such a great book.

Excellant!, January 8, 2006
Reviewer: Dawn Horock
I was really excited to read this book. I've taken Steve SeRine's handling class and what a teriffic teacher! His book is a great reminder of many of the subjects and solutions to problems we all experience showing dogs. I can't rave enough about his method of teaching. The book isn't the same as all the others out there. This is more detailed and specific with the reasoning why it works as well as alternatives. It's all laid out in this book! What may work for one dog, may not on your next dog you train. This book gives you step by step guidelines for training your dog to show and teaching you to handle your own dog as well as any handler ever could. I have also purchased a copy of this book for my breeder as well as a raffle prize for our Springer Spaniel National!

Misleading Title, December 16, 2005
Reviewer: JCB
The title of this book is misleading. The information presented is very basic and is repeated over and over again in the various chapters. The book might be of interest to a true beginner.
