| I recommend this book to my clients and students who 'just want basic obedience' because it is so clearly written, easy to read and understand, and gives all the basic clicker skills a handler needs to train any behavior. Teaching tricks builds the human-dog relationship, and makes the move into teaching more 'difficult' behaviors fun and easy. |

| I recommend this book most often to clients who are looking for a training book. It does an excellent job of covering basic obedience skills in addition to great ideas for teaching tricks, which are an excellent way to provide dogs with the mental stimulation they need. I refer to it, myself, when thinking of things to teach my own dog on a rainy day! |
