| Simply Living With Your Dog, June 1, 2005 |
| Reviewer: Joyce BiethanSeto |
Dawn Jecs [pronounced 'yates' if your wondering] is the author of this book and a few others.
IMHO Dawn is a trainer who has developed a dog training program that goes far beyond opperant conditioning. Dawn recognizes that because of demostication, dogs can learn to live a cooperative life with their humans. And to do so we must take advantage of there inherrent understanding of the leadership relationship of the pack.
Her quest has been to learn how to comunicate the rules of the human pack to dogs in a way they can most easily understand. She has develop techniques that are kind, positive, and continually set the dog up for success rather than failure.
This is a simple little book But it can help any dog owner get started teaching their dog the rules of the human pack. Thus giving them a foundation of understanding that will help the pet dog owner live with their dog in a mutually respectful way, AND the dog sports enthusist to have a foundation to build the skills and drive needed for compitition. |
