| good info, good training sessions, January 26, 2009 |
| Reviewer: Stevie Mathre |
I appreciated the opportunity to see the actual sessions of the dogs. However, I woud have liked to see Pam & her neutral dog working closer, in addition to watching the handler train another behaviour. That's the info I need when working with aggression, not just watching a free shaping session. And of course, sometimes the handler is blocking the dog.
The questions weren't repeated, which was annoying. Pam's info is great and helpful to see in action. What I need to know is what happens in real life... I know - manage, get out of situation, BUT sometimes (and often with owners not as savvy as Pam is) that doesn't happen. A dog is surprised, person stops to talk, lumps behavior... I don't get the clicker training dog people that were at the seminar as clients. |

| Excellent Info - Poor Quality DVD, April 24, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Bunny Carlos |
I would have given this DVD 5 paws if it weren't for the exceedingly poor production quality. The information presented was excellent. When paired with the book 'How to Right a Dog Gone Wrong', it is a great help in setting up a plan to deal with an aggressive dog. It has given me the inspiration I needed to help me train my recently rescued AmStaff with dog-aggression issues.
That being said, the production quality of this DVD was horrible, at best. My biggest complaint is the fact that there is NO disc menu, which makes it impossible to navigate. Keep in mind that this is a 4-HOUR DVD, so you have to wade through hours of footage to find the parts you're looking for.
It seemed as though we missed out on some important things that may have been happening off camera due to the fact that they only had one static video camera coveirng the event. Also, the audience members asked many questions during the seminar, which weren't at all audible. Subtitles would've helped immensely in this regard.
All in all, I'd say $29.95 is a fair price for the amount of information contained in this DVD. Ms. Dennison has served us well by providing a clear, well thought out plan of action for dealing with aggressive dogs. My advice would be to read 'How to Right a Dog Gone Wrong' first and then use the DVD as a visual aide to help all that great information sink in. |

| It Is Possible!, February 14, 2007 |
| Reviewer: K. Schier |
| This DVD has given me hope! Firstly it is comforting to know you are not the only one dealing with dog aggression. Secondly -there are actions you can take to address the issue which will allow you to get your dog back in public (or atleast not needing to do the 'before anyone else gets up' walks!) We have worked with a specialized trainer for this issue - but through a combination of demonstrations and the theoretical, Ms Dennison was able to convey the skills needed in a more easily understood fashion. This is a program I will watch and rewatch as I continue to work with my dog! Thank you Pamela! |
