Every trainer should read this book., August 2, 2006
Reviewer: Lori in Austin
Even if you are not interested in clicker training, this book is a must-read. It lays out the fundamentals of training in an organized fashion. It touches on everything from the basics of classical and operant conditioning to criteria setting and splitting. And it is still a very readable book. Quite a feat! In this way, it reminds me of Steven Hawking's A Brief History of Time, but for animal training. Its applications go far beyond dog training. The reader can put some of the principles in the book to work in improving interactions with humans too. Really a worthwhile read!

Must have, January 24, 2006
Reviewer: Dorothy Turley
Even if you have read this book you will love the CDs. Ms. Pryor reads in such a natural tone it is like she is sitting there talking to you. I have been listening in my car and I feel like I she is sitting in the passenger seat sharing her vast wealth of knowledge. Of course, the content is the same as the book which is exceptional. If you have read the book this is a refreshing reminder. If you have not, this a great way to get the information during drive time.
