Expanded Description:

Learn how to work with your dog in the Three Modes of Training in order to build a bridge between your practice sessions and the obedience ring. The process consists of the motivational WOW mode, the Confidence Building mode, and the Testing mode. Three distinct ways of practicing with your dog will lead you both to a better understanding of your training and of each other. By keeping in mind the simple formula: Dog Talent + Human Talent + Time Spent Practicing = Training Results, you can tailor your performance goals to perfectly fit your unique abilities and potential. Throughout the book the reader is encouraged to tap into the natural empathy that we all possess and see training sessions from the dog's perspective.

A Ring Saver!, January 16, 2008
Reviewer: Jodie
I had the typical Novice A dog that would warm up beautifully but shut down the second she stepped into the ring. After reading and applying the ideas in this book, I now have dogs that LOVE to be in the ring, and the longer they are in there, the more excited they become.

Great For the Novice Trainer, July 22, 2006
Reviewer: Audrey Bye
The training methods in this book made a huge difference in training for results in my first competitive obedience dog. It was a great help to me in learning how to build both my dog's confidence and skillset, and to transition between training and working. I highly recommend this book!

Wonderful reading. Really explains how to get from training to competion in 3 well explained stages. This book would be helpful for the novice to the experienced competitor.
