| Marie Sawford is an awesome dog trainer. That much is evident by the huge successes she's had in the ring. She's also a fabulous handler coach - a fact that her students' successes verify. Her strength in both areas is very evident in this book. Her assertion that there are as many solutions to problems as there are dogs and handlers is evident here. She uses her vast experience in training her own dogs and in coaching others to pinpoint common problems and their solutions. What I like best about Marie's methods is one of her 10 Commandments 'When mistakes happen, look at your end of the leash'. Too often we're ready to blame our dogs and we don't take the time to figure out what we're doing that's causing the problem. This book is a great buy. It's almost as good as a private lesson with Marie. |
