| Just read the book 'Feeding your dog for life' by Diane Morgan. She states that older dogs lose their taste, that is often followed by weight loss. My 9 year old boxer LOVED these easy to cut into smaller pieces jerky. She dropped the 'paws liver mesquite soft training treat' to the floor, hoping I would substitute the Buffalo bites. I did of course. She is not liking much of anything food or treat wise now a days. The 4 month old pup loved them as well, but, he has a sensitive belly and I was using the buffalo jerky in tiny pieces while training 'crate games' and he got diarrhea. That's my fault for giving him too many. I will continue to purchase this product. If you have an picky eater I think this treat may work for your dog as well. |
