Along with being gorgeous!, the cinch-it® collar is designed to be a quality, durable, easy-to-use alternative to the standard pet collar while offering considerably more advantages. (It is very easy to put on, adjust and take off even for arthritic hands.) First developed to address the need for a perfect fit, the patented cinch-it® collar is also hypoallergenic and easy to use. It is made from 100% non-toxic materials and is completely waterproof. With cinch-it® collars you can adjust in 2mm increments resulting in the perfect fit for your pet….not too loose and not too tight. (A permanent marker can be used to write your contact information on it.) More sizes and colors coming in 2009.
The injection molded cinch-it® collar is made from durable TPE (thermoplastic elastomers), a material that Petnique claims is much easier on dogs’ skin than nylon collars and it does not absorb odors. The collar adjusts in two-millimeter increments, allowing for a more customized fit than traditional collars, which adjust by the inch. The collar locks into place in one motion, using the ratchet-and-pawl technology from the skiing and snowboard industry. A one-button quick-release mechanism is held secure by a safety lock. The excess strap fits under the collar, leaving no loose end. According to Mark Jordan, inventor of the cinch-it® collar, the idea was hatched when he experienced problems finding a collar for his own dog that fit properly. “We utilized the materials and technology from the snowboard industry to create a product that is truly unique,” he says. “This collar can brave the elements and ultimately go anywhere with very few limitations. We are very excited about this product.”
