I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen this or knows what it is.....my dog (2yo beagle), has a black rash on her belly between her teats. I know it's a moist area so I was thinking maybe a yeast type rash. It's not raised, doesn't have bumps and doesn't seem to bother her. Has anyone seen that before. Thanks

Michelle

Stupid question comming....((palm to forehead, doh))...... Have you taken a damp washcloth to it to see if it comes off? I know about the black stuff that shows up around the teets, but not sure about between.

My dog has a few black marks very much like freckles or age spots on humans, not raised or irritated at all, more like an ink stain, but she is old. Good luck. I did a quick google search and didn't see anything reliable other than scab related blackness. Do you think it might be just the pigment in the skin?

No, it's not pigment. It came up sudden, a couple of days ago. It's a rash, I can tell that much. Thank you for looking though. I guess I'll just take her to the Vet. I was hoping someone had come across it before and would know.
