| The way to go!, September 27, 2008 |

Dremels are a great way to 'trim' your dog's nails. You have more control than with clippers and can sand from different angles. Nail clippers can also extend painful pressure to the quick even if you don't make direct contact with it. With dremels you can avoid that and it's painless as long as you're careful.
My dog's nails were unruly since her quicks were so long. With the dremel I was actually able to help her quick recede further back so her nails got much shorter and more manageable. In turn this will provide more safetly for when we begin agility. |

| I've been doing my dogs' toenails this way for some 15 years. My first Dremel tool lasted 12 years, and I'm happily using my 2nd one. I sit on the floor with the dog, hold his paw and usually actually put my fingers on the nail I am doing to minimize the vibrations... this depends on the dog, some don't care. I always use the high speed, and as I trim I count to 8 or 10, then stop. Never get near the quick. SO much easier than any other way of doing nails! Highly recommended! |

| The Dremel Minimite is an excellent tool for grinding nails. It's lightweight, easy to hold, and cordless while still being powerful enough to easily grind nails. |
