Reviewer: Dancing River Dogs
As a groomer for 38 years, I was intrigued as to why my 'husky' clients chose to 'cave up' or nest under my tub, no eye contact but very loving and obedient. Now I know and can work with them on there level. Thanks Stan.

Good book for owners and trainers alike, July 7, 2009
Reviewer: Crystal Saling
This is my favorite Stanley Coren book so far. It is extremely well researched and one of the only books that I have taken extra notes out of. I really enjoyed this one. Did you know that a dog can't differentiate between orange and beige? that yellow and blue are easily detected by dogs? That dogs hearing is much like our own and that their hearing loss also follows a pattern similar to humans?
I learned alot from this book- and at this point in my reading- that can be hard to acheive from a general training/dog fancier book. |

Entertaining reading, but not as thorough or advanced as trainers should read. Discusses a dog's senses (sight, hearing, etc.) and how dogs' 'see' the world. I would recommend other books, such as Patricia McConnell's Other End of the Leash instead. Or read both, but if you are only going to read one, get McConnell's.
