We have mentioned this subject before, but as much as we think we know about the world of dog books, we often are surpirsed about how popular certain books become. Sometimes we are surprised because a book just does not look all that compelling to us - or sometimes we are surprised because some book is floating around that the publisher has not bothered to tell us about (imagine that!) and we don't even get our hands on it until some alert customers let us know about it (and we really thank you for that!). The all time surprise book for us was Give Your Dog a Bone by Ian Billinghurst, the book that really launched the raw food diet phenomenon. People starting asking us about it, we finally located the author in Australia, whipped out our company credit card, and a month later this funny looking (and not cheap) book arrived - and the rest is history!

This topic is particularly relevant because the past year or so has brought us a bunch of surprise books - ones we consistently under-ordered until we realized the demand for them (hopefully that problem is over!). These include:

Control Unleashed by Leslie McDevitt;

Ring Ready by Marie Sawford;

Success is in the Proofing by Debby Quigley and Judy Ramsey; and

Rally On by Marie Sawford.

Bottom line - we like surprises!!
