Weekly Update from Dogwise: Mind Games for Dogs |
|
Dear Dogwise Customer,
Dogwise Publishing is pleased to announce the publication of our fourth Dogwise Solutions booklets written by Sarah Whitehead. This latest one is titled Mind Games for Dogs with a number of clever ideas and tips on how to keep your dog occupied and mentally challenged. Each of the these "solutions" booklets (the other three are Gentle Hands Off Training for Dogs, The Puppy Survival Guide, and The Adolescent Dog Survival Guide) are designed principally to be resold or given away by trainers and other dog pros to their clients who should benefit from the subjects covered and that fact that are easy to read, understand and are concise. While individually priced at $2.95 each, we offer generous quantity discounts that do not require you to have a reseller's license. Quantities of 25 can be purchased for just $60.00; quantities of 50 can be purchased for $105.00.
We are also excited to announce that once again this year we are going to have a booth stocked with books at the annual International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) conference in Warwick, Rhode Island April 20-22. This is a really great conference and a wonderful chance to hear experts in the field. For more information on the conference, click here. Some of the notable speakers scheduled to appear include:
- Brenda Aloff
- Gail Fisher
- Irene Pepperberg
- Nicholas Dodman
- Susan Friedman
- Aubrey Fine
- Sophia Yin
Our Ebook selection continues to grow. New this week is: EBOOK: Competitive Obedience Training for the Small Dogs and EBOOK: Mind Games for Dogs.
Newest books & products:
- The Art and Science of Canine Behavior DVD by Patricia McConnell. Through slides, videos and lecture, viewers will develop an enhanced understanding of the importance of genetics and development, along with new discoveries about play behavior, social behavior and canine cognition. Combining interesting discoveries and practical applications, the day is designed to bring our knowledge about all things dog to a higher level.
- Super Sniffer Drill Book - A Workbook for Training Detector Dogs by Debby Kay. Whether you're a professional training medical alert dogs or termite detection dogs or an amateur teaching your dog to find your keys, the Super Sniffer Drill Book is an invaluable resource you won't want to be without.
- Show Dog - The Charmed Life and Trying Times of a Near-Perfect Purebred by Josh Dean. The book follows Jack as he matures over the course of a year, from still-improving adolescent to seasoned adult show dog. We get to know him and the people around him--his owner, his handler, his breeder--to experience what it's like to own a show dog and to train one. And we come to appreciate him for what he is, a lovable and intelligent house pet--albeit one with a highly unusual occupation.
