Weekly Update from Dogwise: The Dog Vinci Code - New from John Rogerson!

Dear Dogwise Customer,

It has been several years since we have had a new book from John Rogerson, one of dogdom's most influential behaviorists/trainers. One of the reasons he has such a reputation is his willingness to think creatively. His The Dog Vinci Code - Unlock the Secrets to Training Your Dog is a fascinating read based on the idea that your training will become more effective once you learn how to communicate with your dog - and teach your dog how to communicate with you! Whether you agree with his ideas or not, he does make you think and look at how you train and interact with your dog in a new light. Bonus - John will be a speaker at the APDT Educational Conference this fall in Atlanta, another good reason to join us there in October.

Speaking of out of the box thinkers and someone interested in improving communications with your dog, Brenda Aloff's Get Connected with Your Dog (book with DVD) is our Book of the Week from now through May 26th - marked down 20% to $39.96. It's interesting to see how Rogerson and Aloff both approach this subject.

Also new this week is the latest DVD from popular author/speaker Leslie McDevitt. Control Unleashed - Game Demonstrations 3 DVD Set is now in stock, showing in video many of the concepts Leslie wrote about in her best selling book Control Unleashed. Contains lots of exercises/games you can use to improve your dog's focus and control skills using shaping and targeting, among other techniques.

A sure sign of spring is the arrival of next year's Breed Calendars. Our first batch of 2011 calendars from Browntrout are now in stock - about 65% of the breeds are now here with more expected soon.

Our product feature this week is the Ethical Skinneez Plush Toys. Perfect for your resident "shredder," this stuffing-free toy keeps the mess to a minimum! Fun to shake, throw, and carry. It comes in 2 sizes and 10 fun animal shapes.

Thanks from all of us at Dogwise.
