Weekly Update from Dogwise: First Call For APDT 2011 |
|
Dear Dogwise Customer,
Yes, we are already starting to think about the upcoming APDT Educational Conference to be held October 12-16 in San Diego. Two things really stand out about the conference this year - the incredible list of speakers and the fact that the conference is being held in San Diego.
While the speaker list is always very strong, this year's speakers include:
and many more who will we mention in future updates. By clicking on each speaker's name you will see the books and DVD's they have written or produced.
The second great thing is the location. San Diego - even in October - almost always means 72 degrees, and the Zoo and the beaches are great attractions. This year the hotel/convention site is located in a non-downtown location in what is known as Hotel Circle which is full of hotels. This means that if you are traveling to San Diego you will have a much greater choice of lodging options, many with free parking, and most within easy walking of the conference location. We think that back in 1999 when the event was held in Hotel Circle, the lodging/parking situation was a big reason why it was one of the best attended conferences ever.
For those of you who have never been to an APDT Conference, it is a great place to network and the quality of the presentations are very impressive. To give some of you potential Conference "puppies" a taste of what you can learn, we are designating the two books Dogwise published in association with the APDT as our Books of the Week, 25% off the regular price through June 4th.
