We feel like we hit the daily double this week with two great new books that should belong in every trainer's or dog enthusiast's library.

The Ethical Dog Trainer by Jim Barry is our first winner. You might be wondering what ethics have to do with dog training, but if you think about it, dog trainers face ethical decisions all of the time. Should I accept a fee when I refer a client to a groomer? How do I handle a case where a customer is willing to pay me for dog training but I am convinced that he will not follow through with my training plan to the dog's detriment? How do I interact with other trainers whose methods I believe are overly harsh? Of course, there are no easy answers for questions like these, but Jim provides you with the framework and methodologies to help address issues like these in a consistent and confident fashion as they arise.

Canine Behavior - A Photo Illustrated Handbook by Barbara Handelman is winner number two. This is truly an incredible book, a fully illustrated encyclopedia of canine behavior that you will want to refer to again and again. Ray and Lorna Coppinger say, "This book has the best array of illustrations of canid behavior that we've ever seen." And it's not just photos, the text and analysis that accompany the photos are well researched and represent the latest thinking on each behavior covered. Quick note. We are going to be moving our warehouse to a new location in Wenatchee later this month.
