latest academic research on the interaction between the biology and behavior
of the dog complied from the works of leading canine scholars from around the
world. Contributors include such notables as Pam Reid, Roger Mugford,
and P. Savolainen. Over the past decade or so, researchers have learned so much
about canine genetics, the differences and similarities between dogs and wolves,
the evolution of the domestic dog, and the niche the dog came to inhabit in terms
of its relationship with humans. And perhaps more importantly, the implications
all this has had on the modern dog in today's society. This valuable new collection
