That has been remedied to a large degree by the publication of Building a Basic Foundation for Search and Rescue Dog Training by J. Christy Judah. Also available are two companion Training Log and Journals - all three can be purchased together at a package price. Christy's work will be of use for novices and those who want to improve their skills and become certified in this challenging field. How to evaluate your dog's (and your own) suitability for the work, what it involves, and, of course, the best way to train a dog to do Search and Rescue work.
More and more videos we have carried for years are being converted to DVDs including two outstanding ones relating to puppy training. Karen Pryor's Puppy Love and Corally Burmaster's Puppy Kindergarten - both of which are especially valuable for those who want to clicker train their puppies - are now available in DVD format.
