Weekly Update from Dogwise: Five Middle Aged Picks |

Dear Dogwise Customer,
Books that stand the test of time represent a real accomplishment for both author and publisher. With so many books coming out all the time in addition to often multiple books on the same subject, a book that continues to sell for several years is pretty special. While none of the books we are featuring this week are really "old," they certainly can be classified as middle-aged! And to celebrate middle-aged accomplishments, we are offering these five books at 20% off for the next week through August third:
- Before and After Getting Your Puppy by Ian Dunbar. There are literally dozens of puppy books on the market, what makes this book unique is its recognition that what you do before you get your puppy is just as (or at least almost) important as what you do afterward. By Ian Dunbar, the god-father of puppy training. Marked down to $15.96.
- Clicking with Your Dog by Peggy Tillman. What makes this book so special are the very detailed illustrations that help you visualize what to do while learning clicker training. Given that timing is so important, if you are someone who appreciates illustrations in addition to words, this is the book for you. Marked down to $19.96.
- The Winning Edge - Show Ring Secrets by George Alston. This is still the best "advanced" showing book for those of you who want to hone your skills as a handler in the show ring. Marked down to $22.36.
- Dogs are From Neptune by Jean Donaldson. Sort of a middle-aged book with a bit of a face-lift since it is a 2nd Edition, but this challenging and fun to read book on solving behavioral problems is still one of the very best. Marked down to $11.96.
- K-9 Structure and Terminology by Ed Gilbert and Thelma Brown. This is a middle aged book that can help anyone evaluate canine structure, especially concerning what is right and sound about any dog you work with whether in the ring or in other
competitive dog sports. Marked down to $19.96.
Keep in mind that our Breed Book sale - with all breed books marked down 25% continues until August 1st. And we have further lowered the price on the AKC Breed DVDs that we are discontinuing down to $7.98 (originally $24.95).
