Weekly Update from Dogwise: More E-Books!
|
|
Dear Dogwise Customer,
As we mentioned a few months ago, we are moving ahead with our plans to offer customers E-Book versions of those titles we publish or have special arrangements with self-published authors to do so. It does take quite a bit of work to make this happen, but we are glad to announce this week that we have just added several more popular titles to our E-Book store. Among the titles now available electronically are two of our best sellers, On Talking Terms with Dogs by Turid Rugaas and The Thinking Dog by Gail Fisher. Of course we still have physical copies of these books (and likely will for many years to come), but we know that more and more of you have e-book reading devices and want to have the option to access literature that way. Keep checking with us as we will continue to add titles.
Now we head from the high tech future back to the glory days of dog shows with this week's Book of the Week - Annie on Dogs by the late Anne Rogers Clark. We suspect that many of you are too young to have ever had the chance to meet or be judged under Annie, but most dog show veterans had that experience at least once in their careers. Annie on Dogs consists of a fascinating series of essays and memories about Annie's life with and working with dogs written over a series of years. Anyone who was around the dog show scene back then will enjoy reading this book, and even you new dog show types will learn a lot from this treasure trove of knowledge. We are making the book available at 50% off, marked down to $14.98.
Our product feature this week is our new line of Pet Blinkers. Pet Blinkers can be easily attached to any collar, lead or harness. They are water resistant and visible up to 1/2 mile. Push the button on located on the side of the barrel to activate; push again to deactivate. They are also easy to transfer from dog to dog.
Newest books & products:
- Squeaker Mat - Small Dog by Kyjen Company. These new, innovative toys have multiple squeakers inside each mat and used as a toss toy, should keep dogs entertained for a long time by squeaking almost anywhere they touch it.
- Merrick Captain A Knuckle Bone by Merrick. For the heavy duty chewers! The Captain A-Merrick-A is the big momma of all beef knuckle bones that will provide your dog with hours of chew time. This is a great non-staining bone that can be enjoyed virtually anywhere with no clean up concerns. (TIP: You can add peanut butter, cheese, etc. to the hollow for added variety. (Processed in America at a family owned facility from USDA sourced meats)
