Weekly Update from Dogwise: Backlist Sale!

Dear Dogwise Customer,
In the publishing world there is a term we use that is sometimes misunderstood - "Backlist." It simply means older titles, ones that have been in print awhile as opposed to new titles which are sometimes called the "Frontlist." Older titles almost by definition do not get the publicity that the newer ones get, yes there is even competition for home page space on web sites. We want to focus on a number of our favorite Backlist titles, and the best way to get you to focus on them is to have an end of summer Backlist sale! So here we go - 30% off on all of the titles listed below from now until the end of Labor Day weekend. This is great chance for you to get big savings on a wide range of subjects from training, breeding, showing, to the evolutionary history of the dog:
Another publishing term we are not real thrilled about but it a fact of life is "returns." The wholesale book trade is one of the few that has very liberal return policies, and bookstores generally take advantage of them. So from time to time we get returns of our published books and invariably they have a nick or two on them which means we put them on sale, noting they are slightly shelf worn. So if you are still in the bargain mode, click on our clearance tab on the home page and you will find some of these barely shop worn items (including Frontlist titles) at substantial savings.
