One of our surprise best sellers from the past year is going Hollywood. The book Through a Dog's Ear (and the companion CDs) are going to be featured on Victoria Stilwell's TV Show It's Me or the Dog this coming Saturday evening, August 22 on Animal Planet. Using sound to help alleviate stress and anxiety is not necessarily a new concept (see the sound CDs from Terry Ryan), however this book is really the first one to focus on this subject and has been a hit with a lot of our customers. Speaking of Victoria Stilwell, her book It's Me or the Dog is a really nice basic manners and problem solving book. She was a very popular speaker at the APDT conference last year where we quickly ran out of stock, and then due to printer issues the book was unavailable for quite awhile. Now its back in stock and ready for purchase.

Our friend Trish McConnell has a new seminar DVD out entitled Dog Play - Understanding Play Between Dogs and Between Dogs and People. Dog play in all its aspects remains a very popular subject now that more and more people are recognizing its importance in understanding more about behavior, as a training tool, and a great relationship builder.
