Dear Dogwise Customer,
One theory that has been batted around in the dog world is that the growth of Agility and Rally-O would cut into participation and interest in traditional competitive obedience. While we have not checked trends in show entries that might or might not confirm that theory, there is no question that our customers are still buying competitive obedience related books - and we have really been pleasantly surprised by how well some of the newer books in this field have done. The reaction to our mention in last week's newsletter to the publication of Patty Ruzzo's Compete in Joy was just the latest indication of this interest.
So what are the best selling obedience books this year? Here's a little list:
Success is in the Proofing by Debby Quigley and Judy Ramsey.
Ring Ready by Marie Sawford.
Competition Obedience: A Balancing Act by Judy Byron and Adele
Yunck (our all time best seller in this subject).
Remembering to Breathe and OTCH Dreams, both by Willard Bailey.
Thanks from all of us at Dogwise.
