Weekly Update: Beware of the Dog - New from Pat Miller

Dear !*FIRSTNAME*!,

Dogwise Publishing is very pleased to announce the release of Pat Miller's latest book: Beware of the Dog - Positive Solutions for Aggressive Behavior in Dogs. "Beware" is the sixth project we have completed with Pat. We love working with Pat because, along with her experience, expertise and great writing style, her books are not only great resources for dog trainers but can be comprehended by motivated dog owners with only a basic understanding of training and behavior. Thus these are books that trainers can recommend to their clients and non-professional friends and know the material can be readily understood and better yet acted upon.

Pat's message to readers is that there are three components to being able to have the best chance to handle aggression problems successfully. First, you must be able to recognize aggression by understanding what it is and how it is expressed - that is the "Be Aware" part. Second, you need to learn how to utilize management strategies which often on their own can solve your problem by removing or avoiding the triggers that may result in the dog's aggressive reactions. And third, if the problems persist, learn how to change your aggressive dog's behavior by employing counter-conditioning and/or operant conditioning techniques that are both humane and effective.

If you are planning to attend The Pet Professional Guild Annual Summit in Tampa in November, Pat Miller is one of the featured speakers and will be happy to autograph a copy of her new book for you!
