We realize that mentioning "holiday shopping" before Halloween might be stretching it, but there are some people who take great pride in getting their shopping done well before Thanksgiving while others of us are hitting the malls on Christmas Eve. Well, if you are in the first camp, here are some ideas for you.
There are a lot of books (including several new ones) on our shelves right now that take on the subject of the emotional bond/connection/relationship between dogs and people. Obviously this is a subject of great interest to a lot of people, and whether or not you buy the science behind it, there is no denying that plenty of people feel that the bonds that tie us to dogs are real and intense. Lots of these books make great gifts, here are a number of them that we now have in stock that you may not know about:
Now if this subject is not your cup of tea, here is a gift idea of a totally different sort: How to Raise a Jewish Dog by "The Rabbis of the Boca Ration Theological Seminary." This hilarious book has a been a best selling gift idea for us for over a year and is very cleverly written while not being offensive. This is our Book of the Week pick from now until October 28th, on sale at 20% off - only $10.39.
2010 Breed Calendars are always good gift choices. Our suppliers are being a little more conservative with their print runs this year, so ordering early is a good way to insure that stock in your breed will not run out prematurely.
