Weekly Update from Dogwise: Kingdom of Scent |

Dear Dogwise Customer,
Dogwise Publishing is pleased to announce the release of The Canine Kingdom of Scent by Anne Lill Kvam. Anne Lill is a Norwegian dog trainer with a special interest in nosework for dogs and years of experience working with dogs to detect land mines in Africa. It is possible that you may have run across the Norwegian or the British version of this book as it was published in Europe a few years ago, however our version has been re-translated and updated to fit the needs of the American audience. Nosework as both a sport and just a fun activity is becoming increasingly popular for a couple of reasons. One, most dogs readily take to the kinds of tasks placed before them in nosework - after all, they are already experts and are generally very enthusiastic about it if properly rewarded. And two, while it may be a bit of a cliche, nosework truly does build relationships between dog and owner. From simple tasks like finding treats dropped in the backyard to more challenging tests like finding a set of keys left along a path, this book will show you how fun it can be to interact with your dog this way.
