At this time of year, many of us doggie kind of people make resolutions - winning an agility competition, training a dog for a CGC certification, maybe even to just train our dogs to stop barking at the mailman! For example, the simple presence of a well behaved dog can help a person suffering from anxiety regain focus and calm down. A trained assistance dog can turn a light switch on or provide support for someone unable to stand on his own.
