Clear and informative, March 27, 2013
Reviewer: Chiara Perri
I found this DVD to be fabulous in that there are real live clips of dogs doing their stuff and seeing it play out is much clearer than pictures. Hearing the explanations for the behaviours was also helpful as some can be confusing and there were some I was not even aware of. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone wanting to get into the dog training and behaviour industry and even for someone running a day care centre. Being pre-emptive seems to make all the difference and once you have an understanding of their language, it makes everything a lot clearer. Thank you.

Awesome!, January 30, 2013

This is one of my most valuable dvd's! Sarah and company did a fantastic job putting together video with lots and lots of examples of dog body language! Very thorough coverage of the signs of stress, warning signs of increasing arousal (which can lead to aggression) and Sarah explains them all so clearly. Chapters make it easy to find and play the behavior you're looking for if you don't want to watch it all the way through.
I have used this and 'Am I Safe?' for group presentations and with private clients and it's gratifying to hear comments later about how the participants now SEE the behaviors when they observe dogs, and feel like they can interpret what the dogs are feeling so much better. Highly recommended! |

Not just for dog junkies!, December 8, 2012

Obviously, anyone working in dog training or rescue will benefit from reviewing body language with this DVD. What surprised me is how eager many of my non-dog crazy friends and family were to watch it. Seeing a broad range of signals prompted helpful discussions of 'I've seen him do that' and 'Oh that's what that is?'. In other words, just about anyone with a dog or an interest in dogs can enjoy and learn from this awesome compilation! The video quality is so good and the amount of commentary sufficient that it's very easy to follow what's happening in a given interaction.
