A MUST READ before adopting a dog.
Adopting a dog from a shelter, rescue or another home can be challenging. This book should be mandatory reading for anyone planning to do so. I wish I had known about it before adopting my three. Many common situations were discussed that I encountered without knowing (1) why my dog was behaving in such a way and (2) what to do about it. Life would have been better for us all had I known this information. Having listened to many fantastic audiobooks by Patricia McConnell, I wasn’t quite sure how this one would measure up. It did not disappoint. Like her others, it is filled with important, relevant content and presented in a way that is interesting, educational, easy to understand and to follow. The training solutions, such as counter classical conditioning, are used by world renowned trainers & behaviorists and are proven to be effective. The narrator is excellent with an experienced & pleasant reading style. (There is also a downloadable PDF.) LOVE HAS NO AGE LIMIT is an excellent audiobook. I urge anyone considering adopting a dog to listen to this audiobook and use it as a guide. You’ll be glad you did and so will your new four legged family member.
