The Low Stress Handling®: A Practical Guide to Cooperative Care, Training, and Behavior Modification book is designed to help create positive, cooperative experiences for animals in any environment. This beautifully illustrated, 180 page, spiral-bound guide has evolved from Dr. Sophia Yin’s second edition of the Low Stress Handling® and Behavior Modification of Dogs and Cats into a standalone, how-to resource. It serves as an easy to read toolkit that employs positive reinforcement techniques to reduce fear, anxiety, and frustration while fostering trust and enabling animals to thrive in any setting.

Low Stress Handling: A Practical Guie to Cooperative Care, Training, and Behavior Modification

Posted by Jan Hankins on 12th Jun 2025

This book is great! It's true to Dr. Yin's legacy and provides in-depth, easy to follow, and common sense solutions to cooperative care with great real-world examples. I'm enjoying it immensely. I love the how-to steps provided (too many books are short on providing that information).
