The Feisty Fidos program from the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center was developed by noted trainer Pia Silvani. This 60 page class manual covers an introductory eight week course which provides the student with a solid foundation for success and includes sit, down, stay, leave it, come, targeting, proper leash handling and teaching a dog neutral behaviors. It does not involve on and off leash interactions with reactive and aggressive dogs, but all of the behaviors taught can be used as foundation behaviors that should be taught to such dogs. Trainers will find this manual useful in designing their own classes. St. Hubert's was founded in 1939 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the humane treatment of animals and is a leader of innovative programs for organizations across the country.
