Visual Learning that Works!

This horse anatomy book is an excellent learning tool for all people who deal with horses or veterinary medicine. You will explore equine anatomy by coloring the anatomically accurate illustrations of the horse organs and reading the short descriptions accompanying them. This is a pleasant and rewarding learning tool for veterinary medicine students, equine science majors, 4-H horse projects and all horsemen, horse trainers, breeders and farriers.

Excellent for Students:
“An excellent learning tool for all people who deal with horses or want to learn more about horses. Coloring the drawings provides a learning experience that is enjoyable and effective. This text effectively serves groups ranging from 4-H club members to veterinary medical students.”
Clifford M. Honnas, DVM, Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, Texas A & M University

“. . .Interesting ...exciting. .. Anyone who is looking for an easy, straight forward approach to becoming familiar with equine anatomy will benefit from this book.”
K. Jack Easley, DVM, Diplomate, American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, Kentucky

“Your Horse Anatomy Coloring Book is ‘reader friendly’ in that it tackles only one area of anatomy at a time using language that even my intermediate 4-H members can understand. I like the way the day-to day concepts such as navicular and founder, are explained in greater detail. ...provides the hands-on learning experience that students need to truly understand what they are learning.”
Stacey Ludwig, Riding Instructor, 4-H Leader, Colorado

“A beautifully illustrated and potentially useful guide to equine anatomy for students at a variety of educational levels. Its artwork clearly depicts many difficult anatomical concepts while avoiding textural clutter. I will recommend this book to students in my undergraduate animal anatomy and physiology course, and to veterinary students with an interest in horses as well.”
The late Thomas L. Spurgeon, PhD, Associate Professor of Anatomy and Neurobiology, Colorado State University

“This atlas has the perfect level of detail (while maintaining accuracy) in explaining clinical problems to clients and in educating horsepeople.”
C. Wayne McIlwraith, BVSc, PhD, Director of Equine Sciences, Professor of Surgery, College of Veterinary Medicine, Colorado State University, Professor of Surgery, College of Veterinary Medicine, Colorado State University

Horse Anatomy - A Coloring Atlas

I found this book very useful for study as the plates have the numbers but no names for the different parts of the anatomy. You could check your knowledge by comparing what you put down for the part name against the list on another page. Great study tool.
